Membership Questions
Q) Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
A) Yes
Q) Do you offer a “Try before you buy”?
A) Yes, we will be offering a “Try before you offer” once the paid membership program is up and running.
Q) How to I cancel my membership subscription
A) You’ll need to cancel your subscription via PayPal. This will automatically terminate your subscription and disable your login.
Q) Will I get access to all the membership content when I join?
A) Yes. You’ll get access to all the previous material.
Miscellaneous
Q) Why don’t you have a forum?
A) There is no point reinventing the wheel. Magento Commerce already have a strong forum community which I am actively involved with.
Technical Questions
Q) Can you help me install Magento on my website?
A) No. I don’t provide an installation service. You will find step-by-step video tutorials and user guides of how to install Magento on many hosting companies in the screencast and Magento sections on ScreencastWorld. If you can’t find a video specific to your hosting company view one of the others as the process is almost always the same. Many of the hosting companies operate a similar service and the installation of Magento is the same regardless of local or hosted solution so you should be able to follow one of the other Magento video tutorials. You may find what you need in the members area, which isn’t available if you’re not logged in. Simply register and see what you can find.
Q) Can you help me with my site?
A) No. I don’t provide 1-1 or consultancy services, Please ask your question in the relevant section within the Magento Forums or search the internet to find one of the many consultants available.
Q) I have a technical question can you help me?
A) Not here. Please ask your question in the relevant section within the Magento Forums. You’ll get a much faster response from either myself or one of the many knowledgeable Magento forum members.
Templates and Themes
Q) Can you create me a template for my site?
A) Unfortunately Not. There are lots of templates and theme creation services available. You can find FREE Magento templates/themes within the Magento Extension Repository, Forums, and by searching the internet.
Video Questions
Q) What video formats can I expect to download if I become a member?
A) Non-members get access to the low-quality videos published on YouTube, Vimeo, etc, with the occasional HD Video being published. As a ScreencastWorld member you’ll get access to DRM Free High Quality (HQ) and High Definition (HD/HighDef) videos which you can download and keep.
Q) Can I redistribute the videos, articles, and other material found on ScreencastWorld?
A) No. A lot of hard work has gone in to making the content of ScreencastWorld high quality and informative and we’d appreciate it if you simply linked back to us.
